Automations

How to use the automation tasks

Description

The Automations page is used to manage automation tasks which are used for monitoring certain websites that frequently restock such as Footsites, Footlocker EU/Asia, etc. The automations module is the important link between tasks and stock monitor. When the stock monitor picked up a product, the automations module will start the corresponding task, and stop these tasks when the event is done.

How to Create Automation Tasks

Under the Automations page, click "+" to create

Fill in the SKU that needs to be monitored, one SKU per line, there is an empty space after each SKU. You can configure a number, which is the number when adding cart when the task is started. If not configured, the default number is 1.as shown

  • Website the website to monitor

  • Tasks Count The number of automatic replenishment tasks is monitored. This number is a multiple. The actual number of profiles must be multiplied by the number of profiles configured in the selected task preset to obtain the final number of tasks.

  • Presets The task presets to create tasks from, Task Presets and Quick Tasks

  • Stop After When a product is picked up and tasks created respectively, how long the task will continue to run and then stop the task

  • Cooldown When a product is picked up and tasks created respectively within a certain period of time, no new tasks will not be created or started.

  • Cloud When this function is turned on, the automation task will accept the monitoring information shared by the cloud, and the cloud monitoring information will be received according to the automation task sku configured by yourself. The automatic task of turning on this function cannot start the built-in monitoring of inbot.

How to Run Automation Tasks

After everything is done, click the Save button, and an automated task should be created. as shown as follows:

When an automated task is started, the stock monitoring task of the corresponding website will also be automatically started. Please make sure the corresponding monitor is set up correctly. For details, check to Monitoring page.

When a product is picked up, the automation module will create tasks with corresponding presets and start them. When the running time exceeds the stop time, the automation module will stop and delete these tasks automatically.

Notification settings

Configure the webhook in Settings - Notification - Automation, you can see the automation task start notification in your own webhook channel in time

Recommendations

For the same set of automated tasks, enable 2 automated tasks, one with the cloud function enabled, and a larger number of tasks to be started; the other automated task without the cloud function enabled, with fewer tasks to be started. The effect will be better when the two automated tasks are used together at the same time.

For example, for automated tasks with cloud function enabled, the total number of startup tasks is controlled at 500-1000, and for automated tasks without cloud kinetic energy, the total number of startup tasks is controlled at 1-2.

The proxy in the monitoring function needs to be checked frequently to see if it is working properly. If it is not working, the automation task cannot be started normally.

The automated cloud function can effectively identify whether the stock of footsites is real or fake. If it is fake stock, a sku automation will only start 1 task to run. Fake stock consumes a lot of data, and only 1 task can save data. ; if it is real stock, all tasks will be started.

Tips

  • An automation task can only target one website

  • Set task presets and monitoring section before trying to set the automation task

  • One automated task could handle multiple SKUs, one SKU per line

  • Automatic tasks with the same configuration enable 2 automatic tasks, one with cloud function enabled, and one without cloud function.

  • The monitor task is the key, please make sure the monitoring section and task presets are set up correctly.
